Cleaning out the Closet

This is exactly what I did today both mentally and physically. My dad came over to watch Princess while I got to work on her closet. (I wish I would have taken a before picture) You have to understand that in order to get in her closet I would have to squeeze in the door while it was pressing me into the door frame. First I got in and took everything that was on the floor out. I then rearranged the things on the shelves and grabbed some of the little things on the floor and organized the shelves. I vacuumed the floor (We have been having a mouse problem in the winter, UGH) and disinfected the floors. Then I worked on putting everything back in the closet so that I could get to everything and I would be able to actually open the door. I only took 1 thing out and am getting rid of it. After 1 1/2 hours of working hard I was done. This is all about of my cleaning + things I said I was working on.
Here are the results:

Mentally~ Recently and I do mean recently, We (my graduating class) had a classmate pass. He was involved in a really horrible accident and just couldn't hang on. He has a 3 year old daughter. This made me start to really think a lot ever since I heard he was in the hospital actually. It really changed my outlook, 1) some of my problems are a little petty and I'm going to try to just let them go. I have so many reason not to let them get to me. 2) I really think that the Hubbie and I should sit down and make a will and look into life insurance for me. Hubbie has life insurance. Just so that if something were to happen Our wishes for Princess would be taken care of.

Time for a much happier note, we mailed out Princess' First Birthday invites. I am getting ready to get on Amazon and order the last couple things needed for Princess' for Vacay. Also going to order My mom's mothers day gift so I can give it to her before we leave. Hubbie did end up taking off the Friday before so now we are leaving sometime Friday!! We have 9 days!! Single Digit!!! Woohooo!!!! We are so ready to be on vacation. I also finished the onesie I was making for my friends' baby shower.

What do you think?

Hope everyone has fabulous days! Stop and say a prayer for all the families affect by all the Tornadoes that hit this week.

Busy Busy Busy

First, I want to tell everyone that the yard sale went well. I made a little over $100 which is my vacation spending money! :)

I have been super busy lately. I am planning and preparing for Princess' first birthday party(May 21), getting things ready for Easter, getting a couple things to sell at my MIL yard sale(April 30), making a onesies for my friend baby shower(April 30), giving the house a SPRING + some cleaning, and preparing for vacation(May 7).

Easter, We are going to church, then to my mom's for lunch and the Easter Egg hunt. I have to make a side dish and make sure I have the pack n play and everything so we will have a good time. Its princess first easter and Im excited but we arent doing anything for her since we leave for vacation less than 2 weeks later.

April 30, I am trying to get the few things together that I missed when I did the yard sale with mom. I am not looking to really make any money just want to get the stuff out of the house and declutter a little.

Baby Shower, this is my friends second baby so I got her diapers, baby powder and Im making her a onesies. (I will post a picture).

Traveling for Vacation :) ~ We were originally trying to leave around midnight on May 7, but now my hubbie is thinking he is going to take off Friday, so now my In-Laws want to see about leaving around 8-9ish pm on Friday evening. To me this is hilarous because they wanted to leave at 2 am originally and did not want to even think of leaving at 12. LOL The reasoning is tho, that my FIL had hip replacement surgery a couple weeks ago, he will be 7 1/2 weeks past when we leave, so this way we could stop more if we need to for him to get out and strecth, Im GREAT with this idea because thats more time that Princess will be asleep in the car and not awake.

Giving the house a Spring cleaning + is self explantory.

Princess' First Birthday Party ~ I already did the invitations just have to mail them out. I am hoping most will call and let me know ahead of time so I can get all the plates before we leave for vacation. I really want to have all the paper goods done so thats one thing I dont have to worry about until we get back. I know what I am doing for the cake so I need to get the stuff for that as well. I also need to get working on her tutu for her party.

Preparing for Vacation ~ I am tryin to buy things ahead like travel snacks, drinks for the room, dry goods for the room, and things I will need for princesss (sunscreen, baby shampoo, etc) I also went ahead and got her a smaller stroller so we would have more trunk space. We found her a new carseat and its already installed and she LOVEs it! I also got her a new snack bag. (I thought I had a pic of the carseat)

Im super excited about vacation and can't believe we only have 16 days until we will be there! :) What I am most excited about tho is in 19 days my princess will be meeting Mickey!!!!!!!!!! and I will be in my HAPPY place!

Having a Yard Sale is Stressful

This Saturday, our local middle school is doing a yard sale. My mom got us a spot for it. For the past two weeks I have been trying to get things together, inventory, and priced. I love my mom but doing this together was not the greatest plan. Our prices for one are way off from each others. I dunno maybe I just stressing for no reason. The main reason I am doing this sale is to clear out a little and make some money for FL! Yay, sunny, warm Florida just a month and a day and we will be there. Back to the sale, I have made signs and figured out what tables too take and everything but Im still stressing that something will get stolen or something. I dunno know.

Planning for Vacation

Yes, Im one of those crazy people who planned my vacation, well parts of it. I plan things I want to do and not really the whole vacation. There is also the added thing that we will be on vacation for Mother's Day (My First) so I am trying to figure out something a little special to do that day.

Plans for Vacation (so far)

  • Do a day at Magic Kingdom
  • Go outlet shopping one day
  • Dinner one night at Garden Grove
  • Shopping at Downtown Disney
  • Spend time with both sides of Husbands' family
That isnt too much is it? Along with that I have been trying to get things for vacation as well. We ordered a new smaller stroller (takes up less trunk space), looking for a new carseat, and clothes for princess. I am oh course exercising and hoping to be down to 140 by vacation. Hoping I can make this all happen in 2 months and 1 day.... Wish Me Luck!

Let the Countdown Begin

Today, we booked our May vacation to Orlando!! Wooohooo!!! I can not wait! We will be down there a week before Princess' 1st birthday and for my first Mother's day! We are planning to do a day at Magic Kingdom and that will be really special because the last time we went to Magic Kingdom was our 3 year anniversay and the day we found out we were pregauant. My husband family also lives down there so they will get to meet Princess' for the first time. We are so excited and can not wait to be going on our first family vacation... 2 month, 2 weeks and 1 day until Vacation.

Cha-Cha-Changes

I am making a new blog here shortly to be my weight loss blog. I am doing my best and hardest effort to really do what I need to in order to lose weight. On My Weigh to Disney (New Blog)

I will be keeping this page for just my general everyday blog, as soon as I make my new blog I will post the new address.

There are also other changes happening in my household. Right now we are trying to finish our front yard project and closet projects that we started before we had our princess! My husband is really liking the changes at his work. He is working a lot more but its good thing because it is what allows me to stay home.

Monthly goal and a weekly goal

This monthly goal goes along with Weight Loss! I am going to do it! I found a exercise/diet plan that I think will be GREAT for me! I am going to stick to it and I'm going to lose weight! I am very very determined this time! It is only a 12 week program so if I can stick to this one it should be an easy transition when I am through to maintain a healthier lifestyle! I have joined a Calorie Counter website and that is part of the diet part knowing what I am eating and how much I should be eating should help me lose weight! I will know be accountable for what I am eating so no more unhealthy snacking and more veggies and fruit as snack and with meals!

Alright so my monthly goal ~ Stick to the Program!

Again its part of the weight loss! I am horrible with sodas, I think it was because I was not allowed soda when I was little so now I always want it! The thing is I know I cant just cold turkey cut off soda (although I did when I was prego, well all caffeinated ones) so little by little I will completely cut it out except on a few occasions!

Weekly Goal ~ Only one 12 oz soda a day and drink more water!

My last weekly and monthly goal update ~ I did awesome with the signing and am still doing it! Woohoo!! However the finishing of the book never happened but I am OK with that.

Weekend Getaway makes for a Busy Week

Im excited for this coming this weekend. We are going to my cousin J's baby shower. Im really excited for her! She is having a baby boy and its her and her husband's first. Her and I are really close, we are only a day apart and we got married within 3 months of each other. Her shower is in West Va where the rest of our family(Dads side) lives. They have not met Princess yet which makes it even more exciting. We are leaving friday after husband gets off work and will come home sometime Sunday afternoon. My Sis3 and her daughter are riding with us. My Sis2, her daughters, Mom and Dad are also going but driving seperate. Thankfully we all have family to stay with so free room and board. We, my mom and sisters, got my cousin her bedding as a joint gift. All of this makes for a very busy week. I am one of those people who likes to come home to a clean house. So, by tomorrow evening I want the whole house to be clean because we arent sure what time we will be leaving friday. We also need to be packed because Im packing the car before my husband get home, so he can come home change and us get on the road fast. Today I have already done 6 loads of laundry(washed, dried, folded, and put away) to make sure everything is clean that we could possibly need. I also need to check the weather so that princess has warm enough clothes. This is the second weekend trip we have taken with princess so I really hope I dont forget anything and that she does well. It is also a trip through the mountains so I hope she does alright with that as well. Busy Busy week. I need to make a list. Well just wanted to blog about my excitement.

Weight Control

One of my very best friends and I had a conversation last night. We are both trying to lose weight, both us have had babies within just over a year. Its such a struggle for me because I was one of the skinny girls in high school and the little time I went to college. I ate a little better than I do and I was definately more active. I started putting on the weight after I got married.
Me on my wedding day:

Me now:
I do not feel good about myself at all. I am not open about it at all either. This is my first time ever ever admitting other to my husband or one best friend that I am stating how I hate what I see when I look in the mirror. Recently my husband has been calling me a "Fat a$$" and I hate that so much, I wanna look good for him. But the biggest main reason I wanna lose a few pounds and live healthier is:
I want to do it for princess!! I want her to never be embarrased by my apperance.

Information Overload

I have been researching, reasearching, and more researching convertible car seats for princess for days and finally I am so overloaded that I think I am more confused than I was originally. Its such a important, big decision. I am looking early tho, so I could take a break for at least a week but when I start something I like to get it done and then move to the next project. I will probably overloaded myself more. I open to any and all suggestions at this point. I put up all my info including cars we own, her size, what she is in now, and how she likes to look out the window on to boards and have got barely any responds or suggestions. Ugh. Well on to do more of the same.

1 monthly goal, 1 weekly goal

For my goals Im planning on using this color and font so it differs from my everyday blog.

First lets talk about my monthly goal. I am a BabyWise mom, for those of you who don't know what that is, it is a series book about raising your child/ren. How to sleep train, schedules, eat time, play time, everything. This book covers all the basics. Princess has done wonderful with it since she was born. At 6 weeks I had her sleep 9 hours every night and then at 3 months I had her sleeping 12 hours a night. It was/is fabulous! The sleep was covered in the first book and I read it before I had her and right after I had her as a refresh. The second book, which started at 5 months, I have still not finished and I brought it when she was 3 1/2 months. I don't like it because I know there are things that I should be using right now and I am not. (Also I know I will be needing to get the 3rd book shortly as it starts at 12 months). So this brings me to my goal.
My Monthly Goal  ~ Read BabyWise two by the end of the month.

Now my weekly goal. I have not been constistant with my baby sign language. I really would like to be so Princess can sign to us her needs and we will understand. I am doing 3 signs at a time and decided to start with meal time signs. So I am starting with eat, more, and all done once she gets those I will move on too 3 more. Bet you can guess my weekly goal.
My Weekly Goal  ~ Be constistant with baby sign language.

Here There and Everywhere

Princess has been excatly that, here, there, and everywhere. I feel like I am constantly chasing her. She is crawling and pulling up on everything. She just got really good at crawling less than a month ago and Christmas Day she pulled up and stood by herself for the first time. Now, I am pulling her down from standing on the TV stand and encoraging her when she is using the couch to start at one side and come to the other. Its exciting and scary all at the same time. We have already had tumbles and I know there will be many more but it gets me everytime. If this is how it is, when she is crawling, I know will be running around like a mad woman when she learns to walk, but you know what, I would not trade it for the world. I so love watching her grow. I love watching how excitied she gets when she learns something new. It amazing how fast the change, learn, and grow. Days like this, although tiring, I am very thankful I can stay home and be the one chasing her.

A picture of Princess standing:

On a side note, its Snowing today and it has put me in a fanastic mood.

New Year New Schedule

As I have already stated, I am a stay at home mom, so my weekly schedule goes off of my husbands schedule. Well as of Jan 1, he has a new schedule so I am now trying to adjust my schedule. He used to work a rotating schedule of Mon-Fri one week and Tues-Sat the next. Now he is working a rotating schedule of Mon-Sat one week and Tues-Fri the next. On the old schedule he had a three day weekend every other week, so we would use that weekend to go grocery shopping and other errands together mainly because we live 45 minutes for town so it was easier. Now I am trying to go the grocery store on his Mon-Sat week on Tuesday by myself with princess and its not easy. I have to make sure its not during a naptime and that I can go and be back before she needs her next feeding too. I am doing this to make it easier on my husband, to limit the junk food that comes into the house, and so we can have a little more quality family time. I will still have us all going shopping for gifts and such together tho as that is fun shopping. I'm also tryin to make myself a rotating 4 day cleaning schedule so that I make sure to get the house cleaning done every week when my husband is working. I am also trying to make meal plans every two weeks so that I am not buy extra things (unless on an awesome sale and I know we will use) to try to help the grocery bill stay down and to see if I can make a budget for our food that I can stick to. On top of all this I decided to make weekly/monthly goals for myself rather than one big new years resolution because there are so many things I want to change and accomplish with having our princess in our lives. We also decided that we would like to pay off some debt so that we can sell our house and buy a new (or new to us) home closer to town in a few years instead of our original plan to build on our property we live on now. I am helping the debt by not purchasing anything unneeded or purchasing things clearanced that I know we will need later.  Its a new year with a lot of new changes in our lives and I really hope we get it figure out quickly. I will post all of my schedules and plans when I get them figured out. My ulitamate goal for myself and my family is that we lives healthier lives and that we get to a point of our only debt be our house.
